β β β β β The food was fine, but the service was really poor.
The young server gave us a starter which we didn't order, so we told him so, but he said it was in the set, so we took it. After that we waited for our meals for more than 30 minutes. I made an eye-contact with an elder server to ask about our meals, he came to us and said, "the food is coming soon,because you didn't order the fried cheese(the starter the young one gave us)". We explained to him that we did tell the young server about this, and he said it was in the set. I actually can't remember the exact words this elder server used, coz I only remember what he said had nothing to do with the reason why our meals would come later, when the guests who came after us had already got their meals, which happened to be exactly the same meals as we ordered. What I felt was he was trying to put the responsibility on us, although he said it was their mistake.
To conclude, the food is fine, but the service might be a risk.

β β β β β Decent drinks, they had run out of moules by the time we got there (which wasn't even that late) so we decided not to eat there in the end. The prices are reasonable (for that part of Bruges at least) but most places are a bit more expensive anyway because it's quite touristy.

β β β β β Food and service were both good; however upon checkout the waiter asked if I would like to include a tip on the credit card even though it is not customary to tip in Brugge. When I asked if it was typical to tip he said yes as long as itβs not included which itβs not. So, feeling bad, I gave him β¬10. Upon talking to my concierge at my hotel, she told me that it is not customary to tip in Belgium. If you want to leave one or two euros extra for good service you can, but it was clear the way he phrased it to me he knew that I was American and could be guilted into tipping . I was in Brugge for three days and ate at many nice restaurants. This was the only one that asked me if I wanted to include a tip.

β β β β β Stayed in Brugge many times such a beautiful friendly place, stopped here for a drink on a very hot day a few years ago as advertised as a tea room as well as a restaurant, sat down and a waiter rushed over and asked if we were eating, we said no and before we could say anything else he said no food no drink and walked away. Felt really quite embarrassed as we walked away and people watching, it was my birthday as well so initially put a bit of a downer on the day but then we ended up stopping somewhere else and received the usual friendly Brugge service so used to. This experience has always stuck in my mind from that particular visit?

β β β β β Very dissapointing, do not recommend. Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame have nothing to do with the popular dishes, but are just ordinary microwaved bacon and cheese sandviches, over priced at 10 and respectivly 12 Euros.
The oignon soup is another disaapointment, not served with parmezan, only half of a slice of bread with hard cheese.
The waiters donβt look like they enjoy working here either.
Of note, you can pay by card only from 35 EUR up.

β β β β β A real romantic setting with great food, drink and service. We loved the atmosphere right in the square and river as it made for a perfect romantic date. The food was also amazing. The prawn starter was lovely, my girlfriends mussels were extremely nice and my steak was very good and tasty. The beer was also very nice and would definitely recommend. The service was polite and got our food to us in a reasonable time. I would definitely recommend and definitely come back again.
