★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 11/10 example of Flemish gothic. I'm extremely happy they chose to rebuild it exactly, stone by stone, after it was nearly completely leveled by WW1 bombing. Truly beautiful building, also houses two great museums.

Here you can start a tour with a guide about the first world war and have a very nice idea about it with nice experience with many photos and site visits, also you can buy some gifts with good prices from the gift shop. Also many restaurants, bars, and tea shops are available in the same area, and 3 minutes away you can see "the last post" which is a special show to remember the situation during the war and they keep doing it since 1927 until now.
