Big central station. However the lifts To get down to platform are non-existent. Tourist please be careful of pick pockets.

Big central station. Easy to buy tickets in machines and to see your train on the big screen. But when at the platform make sure it is your train they almost never come in the expected order and even small delays makes a difference when the time between trains is short.

The major train station in Brussels. Not a big station as you would imagine compared to other major European cities. Hence it is quite easy to find your way to the next train. There were ticket machines to buy the tickets and ticket counters too. Some coffee shops and toilet facilities are available. It gets heavily crowded most of the time.

Brussels Central Station. One of three. Provides all necessary services. Not very clean, as for the station of the city - the capital of the EU

In general impressive building. However, this place and every station in Belgium smells like urine!! there are so much trashes around and people litter a lot! The worst first impression. Second of all, public transportation in this country is the worst! I mean is it so hard to include English in the information and timelines?! When you want to use the bus or tram there is no English at all and also there is no automat ticket vending at all!! You have to use this app TEC or whatever, which works really slow and annoying. Anyway in this country use your feet or bike is better than using public transport.

Well organised station, helpful staff. Beautiful historic murals.

The main hall is quite impressive and spacious featuring a stone carved mural above the main stairs. The colors are a bit drab brownish dirty yellow. The lay-out of the station can be confusing for occasional travelers due to it's many exit and entry points, so make sure you pay notice to the direction signals. Unlike more modern stations it's a bit of a walk through a long hallway to the subway. You can also storage your luggage here, buy tickets at the counter or through self-service machines. For photography this location is best visited after dark when rush hour has past and you'll be able to more fully appreciate the architecture (see photos).
