J	Jan Torfs on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het Vleeshuis ligt naast het stadhuis op de Grote Markt. Het is gebouwd in 1418 en was oorspronkelijk bedoeld als gildehuis van de slagers. Later werd het nog verbouwd en kreeg het diverse andere functies zoals Lakenhalle , vredegerecht en zelfs gevangenis. Nu is het een gekende en veel gebruikte expo-ruimte , multi functioneel. The Vleeshuis is located next to the town hall on the Grote Markt. It was built in 1418 and was originally intended as the guild house of the butchers. Later it was rebuilt and it got various other functions such as Cloth Hall, peace court and even prison. Now it is a well-known and widely used exhibition space, multi-functional.

Een historisch deel waar de geschiedenis van de familie Frank kort geschetst wordt, de periode voorafgaand aan het onderduiken, beschrijving en plattegrond van het Achterhuis, tot de concentratiekampen en de naoorlogse publicatie van het dagboek. Het tweede deel gaat over jongeren nu, en hoe zij discriminatie en uitsluiting ervaren. Interesting exhibition in 2 parts. A historical part where the history of the Frank family is briefly sketched, from the period prior to going into hiding, description and map of the Secret Annex, to the concentration camps and the post-war publication of the diary. The second part is about young people now, and how they experience discrimination and exclusion.
