★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hotel and the penthouse is absolutely stunning! I wanted to give a 5 star rating but on the last morning of our visit one of the staff members treated me and my colleague like children and it kind of ruined the whole experience.
We didn't have a lot of time during the breakfast because we needed to go to work so we took some of the things we prepared during the breakfast with us because we needed to hurry. We instantly received a whole speech about why we're not supposed to take things as if she was talking to her kids and during checkout we were silently treated with a resting bitchface. We would have eaten those items anyway if we stayed in the lunch area and after paying 400 euros for two nights you would expect taking two small 30 cent buns wouldn't really matter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, wonderful staff! We stayed for a few nights and this hotel is awesome. We are a large party and this is one of the few places that that had the right number of towels and had the extra beds set up. Their description was accurate and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was great for simple meals and reheating leftovers. The bathroom was spectacular with a fun, fashionable sink and shower. Our party enjoyed thw Philips led lighting, a great added touch. Virtually everything could be remote or contactless. Cleanliness also was superb. Mechelen was also a treasure nestled between Brussels and Antwerp. It had a great, peaceful vibe with plenty of shops and attractions but without crowds and bad tourist behaviors.
