About Umamido Antwerp South
Guy Quirynen was new to Kyoto, and hungry.
He stumbled into a popular ramen shop, and experienced umami flavors unlike anything on the continent. He was hooked.
Armed with Swiss hospitality training and an attention to detail that only comes from working in Michelin-starred kitchens Guy set about bringing Japanese ramen culture to the European capital, opening the first Umamido ramen shop April 18, 2013.

β β β β β Everything is perfect: the food, the location, the restaurant, the staff. The ramens all look amazing and they also taste very delicious. The chef ramen is definitely the best choice! There are also vegetarian ramen and seasonal ramen (kind of a secret ramen recipe). The gyoza also tastes good for a Japanese restaurant in Belgium. I would recommend this place for Japanese/Asian food lovers, however, if you are not used to ramen, you may find it quite salty. Definitely will go back!

β β β β β Really great ramen, the authentic flavours of Japan in a warm, comforting bowl of noodles and meat. We had gyoza to start, and I had Ramen of the Chef. Just perfect. Loved the pork belly. The interior is nice. Not exactly suitable for a long romantic date but definitely a nice place to come during the week to catch up with your friends or when you're not in the mood to cook dinner yourself.

β β β β β We were on our way to eat mousselen (but had this place marked) and were crazily surprised at the vegetarian ramen though the miso tonkatsu was easily the best. Next time just gonna eat a pile of the dim sums because they were crazy good. The servers were all super-nice too! Merci!

β β β β β Amazing! I am in love with this place. The food is lovely! The Tan Tan Men is the best. My boyfriend loves the Kimchi Pork Bun & The Original Ramen. We drive from The Netherlands to Antwerp to eat at this place!

I was welcomed very friendly by a waitress and I felt immediately like I'm at the right place! I ordered Chef's Mayu Miso Tonkotsu Ramen and when it came in about 3 minutes, waitress even tried to wish me Bon Apetit in my native language - Czech (Dobrou chuΕ₯).
After I dipped in, I was instantly sure, that I'm eating best Ramen in Belgium so far (I've been in about 10 places in Belgium already).
I enjoyed every bite of it up until last slurp! β₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
I will definitely come back many times βΊοΈ
