★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed 2 nights just before Christmas as part of a big party. We were in a twin room in the adjoining building on the top floor. The room was very clean and perfectly comfortable albeit up some pretty steep steps. The location was good: about 10 mins away from the main end of town.
The location is in a red light district. However, it was perfectly fine and not as intimidating or as much of a problem as others are making out. We had a couple of late nights on the local beer and not once did we have any problems. If anything, the locals were pretty friendly!
Additionally, we found "Flamingo" just around the corner which was a brilliant bar with a good selection of drinks and a fantastic atmosphere. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
If I was back in town and looking for a cheap and cheerful hotel; I would not hesitate to stay here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy to find and service staff were friebdly. The hotel was quite nice and clean (and not dusty, which was really good), and the room was spacious. Theres a microwave and hotwater boiler downstairs freely usable which is nice too. Great value for the price. Location is close to gare du Nord station. The area itself is a bit dodgy, with prostitutes standing on all the corners around the building. It's a bit of a strange contrast since the hotel itself was pretty nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My experience at this little deco hotel was fantastic! The location is very central with restaurants & metro nearby; and the rooms are very comfortable, well heated and nicely furnished. The staff is available on a 24h basis and they are pretty friendly and kind. Right the moment when I came in I was offered hot tea :) The process of check in in and out was also really smooth and they had no problem in keeping my luggage while I was out. The breakfast was superb, too, with a nice selection of coffe, fresh pastries, cereals, fruits, etc. Yes, the hotel it's located in a red light district but the zone is actually really quiet. It's indeed a beautiful cobblestone street with very nice buildings. If anything, I felt bad for the poor girls freezing out there in the cold but, believe me, they don't pose a risk to anyone. On the drawbacks, the hotel has no elevator and my room was in the fourth floor, so take it into account if travelling with little children or elder people. At this floor the wifi signal was unfortunately quite weak. Overall, I would definitely recommend it, great value for money!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great 2* hotel. Not expecting this. We had room on the highest floor, it was spacious and clean. There is no lift but that was not a problem in our case. The only problem is the location, it is 10 minutes walkin to the “epicentre” of Brussels, but on the street are lot of weird people, especially women affording their bodies :) and this may cause noise during nightime. Fortunately, it was not our case and we slept well, but for someone it can be uncomfortable to go back to hotel through this dirty street full of btchs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great hotel for a short trip in Brussels, whilst the local area isn’t the greatest with the street workers in the side streets, we were very close to the city and to many Christmas Markets which were great for a hot drink and a quick bite to eat! The rooms were clean and modern, would suggest a change in the wall or carpet colour (both being black) as at night time some of the automatic lights don’t work and it makes it very hard to see when going up the stairs. Overall the room was clean, tidy and in a good location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: Everything was clean and the staff were friendly.
Contras: The photos on the website make the hotel look better than it is. It is a very simple hotel, I would definitely not call it a "boutique design hotel". We didn't get the room we saw on the photos of the website when we booked - different furniture, and ours also had a kitchenette (not necessarily a bad thing, just not the room we thought we had booked).
The building was quite noisy and not well-isolated. I could hear people's conversations in the room above us and outside clearly.
The pillows were very poor quality. Please invest in better pillows.
15 min walk of the city center, but in a weird neighbourhood so not recommended when you will arrive/leave late at night or early in the morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff was very friendly but the quality of the pictures is not represented in the pictures shown on the site. I understand the quality of hotel but cleanliness is an easy fix.
The other issue we experienced was the location across from an hourly hotel (Studio 2000) used by prostituted at all hours of the day. We were somewhat approached but also just the stares made us feel unwelcome and that is not what you want when traveling in another city and paying for a place to stay.
