★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een prachtige stenen kerk, zeer zeldzaam en bekend als een wonder van Leuven, omdat de toren volledig zonder nagels (d.i. zonder hout, volledig in steen) is opgetrokken. Deze torenspits, ontworpen door Jan van Ruysbroeck, valt op doordat hij helemaal opengewerkt is: men kijkt dwars door het stenen geraamte heen. De Sint-Geertruiabdij erbij is het hart van het Klein Begijnhof. De gebouwen, opgetrokken tussen de 14de en de 17de eeuw, werden intussen gerestaureerd en heringericht als wooncomplex. Naast de abdij bevindt zich de Sint-Geertruikerk, die tussen de 13de en 15de eeuw werd gebouwd.
 A beautiful stone church, very rare and known as a miracle of Leuven, because the tower was built completely without nails (i.e. without wood, completely in stone). This spire, designed by Jan van Ruysbroeck, stands out because it is completely open: you can see right through the stone framework. The Saint Gertrude Abbey is the heart of the Klein Beguinage. The buildings, built between the 14th and 17th centuries, have since been restored and redesigned as residential complex. Next to the abbey is the Saint Gertrude's Church, which was built between the 13th and 15th centuries.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like all the churches of Leuven, this too is open only from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Didn't get to see the interiors of the church. Would be nice if atleast if weekends its open for longer hours!
