★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicolas Bosret ( 1799- 1876 ) was een Belgische componist en organist van de Kathedraal Saint-Loup in Namen. Hij was al vanaf zijn 7 de jaar blind , maar wist niettemin zeer spoedig zich de solfège ( notenleer ) eigen te maken .
In 1851 bracht hij voor de eerste maal " Li Bia Bouquet " ten gehore ,
een lied in het Waals.
De dichter Jules Mandos bewerkte het en het verwierf een enorme populariteit.
Het werd in 1856 door de gemeenteraad tot officiële hymne van Namen uitgeroepen .
Het borstbeeld staat op de Place
d´Armes.
 Nicolas Bosret (1799-1876) was a Belgian composer and organist of the Saint-Loup Cathedral in Namur. He had been blind from the age of 7 , but nevertheless very soon learned to master the solfège ( solfege ) .
In 1851 he performed " Li Bia Bouquet " for the first time ,
a song in Walloon.
The poet Jules Mandos edited it and it gained enormous popularity.
It was declared the official anthem of Namur by the city council in 1856 .
The bust is on the Place
d'Armes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the founders of the Academy of Liars in Moncrabeau is Nicolas Bosret who belongs to Namur. So yeah, Namur has his sculpture and at its foot, the city's own 'throne' for the 'King of Liars'! Every year, the current 40 members of the society select the King of Liars who is enthroned on this throne!!!!!!!
