★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food and table service was great. The cashier was very rude and says we can not split the bill even if people are traveling and coming to the restaurant as he says it creates work for him. This is a little unbelievable and I really wish that the owner of the re sees this review. In Belgium I see restaurants are taking the customer service for granted when they have good business. I think me and my 4 other friends are not going back there. I do not recommend this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate on the terrasse. The setup was nice but unfortunately the music they were playing sounded like terrible supermarket music which nobody likes, especially when having dinner. We had the Vol au Vent and the chicken was dry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice establishment in Waterloo. Not vegetarian friendly but the ravioli makes it up. Filling portion and great for groups. They have a special weekly menu as well for lunch which is nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw some negative comments but had to stop with my husband for an early dinner / snack. Was pleased to encounter a very welcoming staff, good typical Belgian brasserie. The croquettes are delicious and the house wine too. Overall very good place. Will be back !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a marvelous time and a wonderful lunch! Our waitress was super and ofdered suggestions and was able to answer partial francais, partial anglais. Our wine choice was superb with our Salmon, meatballs, and a wonderful chicken lunch. We tried the croquette fromage as an entrée and partook in three desserts. A special thank you to our barista that made fabulous Irish coffees with a great presentation! Bon appetite à nos and merci beacoup à La Cocotte Belge!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The phrase “you get what you pay for” is definitely accurate here. The Côte à l’os with fries was delicious and was perfect for two hungry people. We had the Waterloo beer, which was very good and had a nice caramel finish. For dessert, I had the coffee and three small cakes, of a sort. The ambiance was very pleasant at the time we went and was not very busy at all. The decor was quite unique and felt open and spacious while also intimate at the same time. I would recommend visiting!
