L’artista is een authentiek Italiaans restaurant in hartje Mechelen. De keuken en het menu werd van a tot z samengesteld door Marisa Salis.
Het restaurant beschikt over een open keuken, een gezellige lounge en ruim terras. Ook onze naam doen we eer aan: L’artista doet namelijk ook dienst als galerij voor jong talent. Zo staan er tientallen kunstwerken over de ruimte verspreid die we in bruikleen kregen van de kunstacademie te Mechelen.
En als u nog niet weet waar kijken, dan is er nog altijd onze prachtige houtoven, waarin onze pizza’s perfect kunnen worden bereid, die een gezelligheid geeft als nergens anders.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well, the raviolis ordered didn't tasted like made by "di mama", more like the standard pasta you buy at the Lidle or Aldi: I would say half cold and tasteless.
The "Fritto di something" as a starter at 18€ freaking euros, was really not more than a unfrozen seafood mix. I am not exaggerating, it just was bad bad bad.
Despite all the "prego" "pregos", no Italian quality for sure. I hope the owners will not reply as "you should have told us", as they left the restaurant at 8pm in the middle of the peak hour (of course they have to live their lives).
Not worth the money., despite the lovely staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Italian restaurant, a hidden treasure in the historic city centre of Mechelen. The restaurant offers a nice menu and is open to let you assemble your own pizza when a pizza from the menu for whatever reason would not fit. Friendly and service oriented staff

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good, waitresses were friendly. BUT when half of your menu is pizzas, and you don't serve pizzas because "your pizza baker is sick", you cannot expect a good rating. (There is only ONE person in your entire pizzeria team that can bake pizzas???)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please, hire some personel. 1 hour waiting time and forgotten orders are not okay even for Friday. And also there is too little space between tables. People seat less than 1 meter from each other. Corona rules are absolutely abandoned.
