★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect little local place for lunch. Only 3 or 4 options at lunch time, both vegetarian and meat. Slightly expanded menu for dinner, but still just one page. I love restaurants like this. Simple, delicious, just the right amount of food. Sweet atmosphere, very well priced. If I lived here I would eat at Il Mezzogiorno once a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be sure to make a reservation for this fantastic Sicilian restaurant! With only 5 tables, Il Mezzogiorno feels so cosy and welcoming. The food is fresh and of high quality, and is prepared and presented in a respectful manner. They do not show off, they just make good food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Nice music as well although a little on the loud side. Enthusiastic and nice waiter. Can't say anything wrong about the food although for that price we were missing the 'wow' factor a bit. For a 44 euro 3 course menu where the main dish is pasta my expectations were a bit higher. Not sure if it was due to the Corona concept but service was slow and that combined with the fact they were serving in 2 shifts meant you felt near the end of your meal they wanted you out. My wife had a view on the bar and saw 2 actions from the waiter that even outside of Corona time are considered as unhygienic. Taking ice cubes with his hands to put them in the glass. Wiping the sweat of his forehead and going through his hair and immediately after taking the loaf of bread in his hands and cutting slices. Also menus were not disinfected in between passing them to different tables. All in all I would give it a second try when they are operating normally as our experience doesn't seem to stroke with the general sentiment read in the other reviews, but I hope they learn some lessons hygiene/Corona wise.
