★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice hotel with basic but proper facilities.
The rooms are larger then average and come with a spacious bathroom that has basic facilities (a hair-dryer is not available on arrival).
The food is above average but slightly pricy, all in all a good deal.
The service was splendid, within 15 minutes my entire pre-booked arrangement was confirmed and I was on my way to my room.
Overall a very nice hotel that I would visit again when in the neighbourhood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wouldn't stay here again for free. My room was dirty and the paint on the walls was cracked and peeling. The breakfast buffet consisted of very overcooked/disgusting scrambled eggs, sausage that was obviously from the day before, very undercooked bacon, and actually pretty decent waffles. They also had fruit and fresh squeezed orange juice if you wanted to squeeze it yourself. They advertise €69 a night on a sign out front but really it cost me €300 for two nights. More than twice the price. There was also a sign on the wall in my room asking guests not to do illegal drugs in the rooms. Definitely stay away from this place, even though the staff was very nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 5, so we needed two rooms. The rooms were small, clean and efficient. The breakfast was very good with a variety that met everyone's taste. The staff were exceptionally friendly and kind. The wifi met the teens needs. The location of the hotel was excellent. We were able to have convenient walking access to all of downtown. The train and bus station were across the street. My only complaint is more of a suggestion, request a room away from the street. The weekend party crowd get quite loud and incredibly obnoxious at 0300 and make it impossible to sleep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here on business. It is right across the street from the train station (currently under development) but I couldnt hear it at all from my room.
When I walked into the room, it smelt really nice and clean, it was also surprisingly spacious. However, if I opened the window, the outside smoking area was right underneath it, so needless to say I kept it closed.
The restaurant was open only for a couple of hours (7-9.30pm) for dinner, but 10 minutes walk is a foody area of town.
Overall, great room (apart from the window issue), great location (right next to major transport links), great price and the food was amazing as well. Will definitely use this place again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent hotel, very conveniently located near the rail station in Mons.
I think that, considering the size of Mons, this hotel is the ultimate choice for anyone who want to visit this small town. If you are coming by train, you just have to cross the street and you'll be there.
The reception is excellent. All the staff are very polite, friendly and helpful.
There are 8 beers on tap in the lobby bar and many other bottled ones. I don't know if this is a standard for Belgium, but it's an awesome addition to the atmosphere of the hotel. Although a bit pricey (all the beers are €5), it's convenient to grab a beer in this cozy lobby bar.
The breakfast (€15 per day per person) is great! I I can't say anything bad about it and it's highly recommended.
The internet is fast enough and reliable.
My room was quite big and very clean, including the bathroom. However, there was cigarette smell inside. It wasn't terrible but I don't know how can it have this smell since this is a smoke-free hotel.
They have some green policy which means that if you don't want room cleaning and change of towels, you can hang a sign on your door. In exchange, the maid slips a €5 voucher under your door, which you can use to buy something in the lobby bar / restaurant. Guess what 99% of people buy. ?
What I didn't like was that the hotel was kinda cold. Not inside the rooms because in the rooms you can adjust the heater yourself, but in the corridors and the lobby bar. You can't go out of your room wearing slippers and t-shirt. You would definitely need to put on some shoes and more clothes if you want to go down to the lobby bar. This robs the good atmosphere, but at the end of the day this hotel is not an expensive one.
I can recommend this hotel to everyone who visits Mons!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Water in bath room was brownish when opening the tap. After let it run a while it becomes clear(er).
In the morning, there was even no water in the shower. Opening the tap some brown water came out and at the end nothing any more.
When mentioning this in the morning at reception they were aware of the brownish water but did not mention anything. I would be much better if you inform guest in advance. About no water in the shower, reception lady was surprised
About the shower, when taking breakfast, I was offered another room to take a shower but that was then too late.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very well situated, easily accessible from the motorway and 10mins walks from the town square. Breakfast is very good and you have lots of options. Bed was comfy and room spacious. The staff was also very welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located relatively close to the train station.
The staff was very nice, professional yet amicable. Only one person in charge of both the bar and the desk.
The room was on the top floor (requested at check-in), it was not the cleanest or best equipped. The TV only seemed to show local channels.
However, this was my first stay in a hotel with a star rating lower than four.
