★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lemonade was delish (non alcoholic, changes daily), but it's a cool, caverny looking bar. Old movie posters on the wall, nostalgic feel. Basically an open, kinda coed bathroom. Sofas in the back/upstairs, and a nifty secret back patio along the water. Right in the city centre. Lotsa fun!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best bar in town. Just go there. Do check out the views from upstairs or the terras in the back in summertime (and by night). Good choice of beers, and free wifi.
Update: since yesterday 27/12 credit cards are accepted ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No longer my favorite brown pub in Ghent. I don't like giving bad reviews, but sometimes I can't help it.
This pub used to be a busy, but quite cozy place. Service was great and you were served almost immediately.
During our visit yesterday, something was clearly wrong. New manager? Staff shortage? Too tired? We found our place upstairs, but it soon became clear that you had to go back down to place your order (and drag it back up the stairs). All tables were full of empty dirty glasses and coffee bags. I know that in the center of Ghent you pay a little more for your favorite beer, but that you can also sit in the dirt of your predecessor .... No, this is no longer necessary for me. There are still nice places in Ghent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It must have been at least 10 years since I've been here last and I was pleasantly surprised about the improvements they made while keeping the authencity. This nice mix is even reflected in their choice of beverages and snacks. I look forward to my next visit.
