Het Anker is een familiebrouwerij die al 5 generaties lang bier brouwt in het Groot Begijnhof van Mechelen. In Stokerij De Molenberg, de 17e-eeuwse familiehoeve en stokerij in Blaasveld, wordt er op basis van het moutbeslag van Gouden Carolus Tripel een verfijnde Belgische whisky gestookt. Gouden Carolus Single Malt vormt het perfecte huwelijk tussen de twee familietradities

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, fantastic service, and, needles to say, amazing beer. Perfect place to both just have a drink, or go for a full meal.
There's also a hotel with a tour of the brewery and everything, heard it's great but haven't been to it myself.
Parking space isn't exactly in abundance, but you should be able to find something nearby even if it's busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesomely friendly and great service. The food is great, definitely try the sabaillon! Oh and of course, last but not least: the beer. I genuinely think that this is one of the best breweries in Belgium. All of their beers are great, but I especially like the Imperial blonde and dark, the tripel, and the Indulgence.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not just the bar but i also visited the brewery. It was excellent tour lead by Mr. Luc. He explained all the procedure with a lot of information and enthusiasm. At the end we tasted beers and tried to understand what malts are used and what herbs are utilized. It was fun and great piece of info too!
