β β β β β This branch is a waste of your time. 4 out of 5 times you don't get a car. The booking system make you go through a lengthy process, takes your payment details - simply to be told by Europcar that they will let you know in the next 8 (eight!) hours if your booking is confirmed. 4 out of 5 times they take their sweet time, and then simply decline your booking. My experience with customer service has never been positive either, very rude staff. I've wasted my time too many times on them, I will avoid in the future.

β β β β β To leave the garage, the Europcar clerk gives you a ticket. The ticket I was given by the Europcar employee charged 37 euros to exit the garage, immediately after leaving the desk and getting in the car to leave. I had an appointment to be at soon, so I just paid the machine to leave.
Explaining this when I returned the car, they were apathetic and clearly didn't care about the experience of their customers. On top of that, they overcharged an extra 1/2 tank of gas and tried to double charge me for the rental that was already prepaid online.
I've been waiting over a month for a reply from their seemingly nonexistent "customer service" department. Beware of poor business practices, and a series of "unfortunate mistakes". After this experience, i'm never using Europcar again.

β β β β β Had very good experience with them! Everything was great, from collecting the car to car quality to returning. Very much appreciate that at the return they carefully check the car and give you a full confirmation everything is fine with the car, so that you don't get unexpected claims later. Unfortunately, not all companies, and even Europcar pick-up points, do that.

β β β β β I made online reservation of a car for 5 days. They didn't cancel my reservation and after i call them they said you don't have booking because it's canceled, we don't have car available. Nobody called me, they didn't send an email and if i came to the agency they would not have car for me and i need to go for a trip. The lady on the phone was so rude and she hang up, she said she canceled and i should received an email, but no email, no nothing! Avoid EUROPCAR in BRUSSEL!

β β β β β I wish I could give zero stars. Awful customer service. After 6 months, we returned the car we rented in good condition. The people on site refused to do a scan of the car with us because of Covid-19 situation. 2 days later, there was an extra charge of β¬800 on the credit card without any explanation, no bill, no statement, nothing. We visited the rental place, and we received no proof, nothing, just a bill that says it is due to the damages. We were told to write back to the customer service and demand photos. I do not understand why the local office where we rented the car and clearly did the inspection can not present the proof. Emails back and forth and after 10 days, there is still no proof, nothing of the breakdown of the damages, no pictures, no bills. The customer service responds in 3 or 4 days if we are lucky. And when they do, they keep sending us broken links and the attitude is awful. The only feedback they gave us, is that we are obligated to pay whatever charges deemed by Europcar. Never use them!!!

β β β β β Rented a car to drive to Germany for my grandmother's funeral in early 2021 to avoid public transport.
I am a very careful driver and the car was parked in my mother's garage the entire time to avoid any damages accidently done by passing cars on the street.
I returned the car to Europcar in Brussels on time, filled the tank to full directly in front of the Midi Station and took about a 100 pictures of the parked car's interior and exterior so safeguard against any claims. Before, I had even cleaned the windshield of dead insects to be able to take clear high resolution pictures, to be able to show that there is no damage.
A few days later, I get an updated bill: they had charged me an extra day for late return and claimed I had chipped the windshield. The picture of the windshield they sent me was low-res and only had a big yellow circle covering half of the windshield to substantiate their claims.
Of course I still had the parking ticket from when I entered the underground parking to return the car - which is date/time stamped - and a time-stamped picture of the parked car under the Europcar sign that marks their parking spaces.
I contested the extra charge online and sent the pictures as proof. Took me some time to find out which number to call and where to send the claim and upload the pictures.
I didn't even bother to contest the ridiculous and clearly made-up windshield damage charge, as I had full coverage and was safe from any overblown demands - I don't even know why they bothered.
Long story short: I got the money back for the overcharged extra day but it cost me time and nerves which were already bare due to my grandmother's funeral.

β β β β β Awful costumer service and regulations. They are totally not forthcoming towards the client in case of cancellation before the 48h, even the issue is about having a valid credit car which is not clearly stated by the proxy companies they use. So they let you do the reservation and pay without credit car, and later tell you that you do need a credit card. So no refund. Of course they have their conditions written on the website, but you have to look for them and they have it only in few languages.
