interesting spot to visit. you'll learn a lot about the history of the old town and the smelly part of it. this being said: be prepared for some interesting smells, rats and spiders. Not a go-to-place if you are phobic ;) Only little down side for me is that the tablet tour really is just that. The guide will only guide your steps and make sure you don't slip but the only information you will get is on your tablet. The guide was really nice but didn't speak a lot of English so it feels a bit unpersonal walking around there. None the less, good experience.

It is like a city tour, but with the PoV being from the sewers. It was amazing! Learned a lot, the video guide was entertaining and interesting, and the safety guide was nice and provided extra information, even though he was only there to help us get through safely. It was definitely worth the price! Worth to note is that you wade through water (how much depends on recent rainfall and the tide), and there are rats and spiders running along the tunnels.

A very unique experience. Could be even better with actual English (foreign language) speaking guide instead of the tablets, but I assume the cost of that would be prohibitive.

Unique way to learn about the history of the city. Walking in the sewer system is quite the experience, be prepared to walk through muddy paths and beware of the"fauna" on the walls! They provide boots an overall and a backpack. However they do a very poor job with the English translation.

Everything is provided. Took the tablet-tour, is really worth the effort. Don't bring a backpack that is too full, because you have to carry your own shoes. The boatride is something nice to start with, however the walk is the best and largest part of the trip. Beware the point of exit is not the place where the tour starts!

Not the most elegant tour you can do in Antwerp but definitely something worth checking out if you feel more adventurous. We did the tour with the tablets which was very informative, I don't think just doing the boat tour would've been satisfying. The tour guide that lead the way for us was very enthusiastic but even as a both native Dutch and English speaker I had trouble understanding him, he also seemed to be in a rush which is not great when you're wearing rubber boots in not so great conditions. A "protective" suit and boots are provide as well as a sizeable backpack to bring your own shoes and jacket back to the end. Note: I put protective between quotation marks because while it does protect you a bit in case you bump into something or some droplets fall on you but both your clothes and day would still be ruined if you were to slip on some of the slippery cobblestones down there.

It's a sewer, if you go in expecting that it's a fantastic experience and a unique way to experience antwerp and learn its history. Would recommend to other people but I will not be going again ?
