★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The sculpture speaks of the rich history of the place. As much as it was exciting to learn Brabo's story, the area around is bubbling with activity and peaceful at the same time. You can gaze at the beauty that surrounds you from the square.

It is the perfect palce to start your trip in Antwerp.
The statue is telling the legend of how Antwerpen gor its name

The monument in the middle of the square is very beautiful and meaningful... For it explains how its history is based on perception of ancient legends...
Interestingly, the man figure at the top the structure is attempting to throw away a severed hand which may the hand of the fallen man's figure at the bottom of the structure.
There are three women structures holding up the sea worthy structure on which the castle holding the man on top is based.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The story behind the monument was fantastic. The tour guide told us that it's a fountain but it was constructing there and we missed the fountain but overally it is pure art and also yhe townhall beside that.
