★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der "Halve Maan" (Halbmond) verdankt seinen Namen seiner Form, die einem Halbkreis gleicht und ist mit seinen militärischen Anlagen die einzige noch erhaltene Flugabwehrstellung in Belgien.
Auf diesem ehemaligen Militärgelände befinden sich noch ein Kommandobunker, drei schwere Flakbunker (Flugabwehrkanone), eine Flankierungskasematte und verschiedene andere Bauten.
Die Batterien "Hundius" und "De Halve Maan" sind einzigartige und gute erhaltene Überreste der deutschen Küstenverteidigung Atlantikwall aus den Jahren 1942-1944.
 The "Halve Maan" (half moon) owes its name to its shape, which resembles a semicircle and, with its military installations, is the only remaining air defense position in Belgium.
On this former military site there is still a command bunker, three heavy flak bunkers (anti-aircraft guns), a flanking casemate and various other structures.
The batteries "Hundius" and "De Halve Maan" are unique and well-preserved remains of the German coastal defense of the Atlantic Wall from 1942-1944.

A historic war site that will soon be restored and will be part of the Atlantic wall coastal defense zone. After revaluation it will be possible to visit this site. TBC. .. recommended for a quiet walking environment with the dogs.
