Best War museum in belgium

It is a must see even if you don't have any interest in the 1st World War, just to get a idea of the horrors of War and what these boys and men went through. The museum has recreate trenches from both the German side and the English and as well has recreating an underground bunker used by the English in the area. The museum has weapons from both sides used in the water as well as clothes and other articles. There is a @15 minutes film to watch that show some battle footage.
D	D Bakker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are many excellent musea around the region but this one combines all of them, if you want to experience what happened during ww1 and can only visit one museum, choose this one. But also try Flanders Fields and Sanctuary Woods, excellent too.
B	Bethan Mansell on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very interesting museum- definitely a must if going to Ypres. The trenches are probably the most interesting, they start indoors with models of different “rooms” and sleeping areas and then move onto outside with real trenches.

This place is amazing, has trenches and tunnels you can walk through and gives you an in-depth experience of what WWI was actually like. If you love learning about history or even if you want to lift a rifle up to see how heavy it was for the soldiers to fight with (also you can try on real body armor). I could spend an entire day here without knowing it it's so interesting. This place is a must.

Both the stories, the artifacts and the setting allows you to go back to these never to be forgotten moment of history. You can walk the trenches and visit a rebuild dugout.Audioguides for both children and adults.
