Good option for groceries on Sunday in the district. But expensive really (guess not if you work with a high salary from a EU institution though).

Very convenient store is you are looking for a place for quick lunch, there are a lot of ready-to-eat food and you can heat it up and eat right there also they have a coffee machine

Walkable from Brussels Schuman, not very big but items aer very diverse, you can find almost all grocery stuff there. Checkout time can be 5-10 minutes during rush hours. Things are a little pricy but product quality and taste is good. Overall a good place for groceries and a quick take away bite

Great place to get things in small quantities. Great bakery products and coffee options. There is also a small corner to sit(for4-5 people )and have coffee and snacks

I had a very bad experience today. Just as I was paying at the till, one guy (who I assume must be the manager) came and asked me rudely to open my backpack. I did. He was not satisfied. He asked me to open all the pockets, which I did. And then he kept on asking me if there was any other hidden compartment in the bag. I dumped all my stuff on the till and he was still not satisfied. In the end, when he couldn't find anything in my backpack, he left after saying a 'that's fine.' He didn't even have the courtesy to say a 'sorry for the trouble.' I understand that it is the duty of the store staff to check anything suspicious, but this was beyond rude. Carrefour needs to give their employees training on how to handle such situations. You can't be rude to customers. I will think twice before stepping into this store again.

8/12/2020: Don't fruit and veg have a sell-buy date? Please refer to photographs. 19/11/2020: The manager walked up to me at the Carrefour checkout after I had paid, and said out, Carrefour manager: "did you like cheese?" Me: what are you talking about? (clearly crazy) C-Manager: "You were looking at the cheese. Did you put it back? Me: Yes, I don't want it. Your cheese is 24 euros a kilo and LIDL is half the price. You are too expensive." Carrefour Manager: "So, did you put it back?" Me: "yes" and replied, and as I walked out left a parting shot of "I suggest you look at your security footage" [and now go away implied] So, he insinuated I stole the cheese! Please can you just be open and direct, instead of confrontational ? You looked a bit lame because you got it wrong, and then you compounded the error because did not have the guts to ask me to empty my pockets. Seriously: Follow through with your threats next time. Instead of insulting your customers and making accusations, might I suggest the Carrefour manager approaches their clients with respect and starts with this opening line: "Excuse me miss, our shop security camera made it look like you took some Chedder cheese. I'd be grateful if you we could quickly clear this up by showing me your pockets? My apologies for this inconvenience. I assure you this feels awkward for both of us." If you make accusations, baseless or not, then your clients' are less likely to return. Also, kindly show your Carrefour badge, because you could be anyone in plain clothes. I appreciate this is also awkward for you, but kindly approach the matter in a delicate fashion. We all make mistakes, and camera footage does not show every angle. And how about your half the price of your mature yellow sliced and non-sliced Chedder cheese? Because perhaps next time I might be more likely to buy the stuff instead of putting it back on the shelf. Otherwise, the rest of the staff are helpful and a cheery old bunch. The shop is well located for many people June 2020: the sandwiches made by the lady: She made my panini, but scratched her nose while putting the filling in! She did not change the gloves or disinfect. So, I threw my sandwich in the bin** I did not ask for a refund, because I had paid in advance.
