★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely, quirky coffee house in a very retro setting. The toilet was a bit of a disappointment, could have been a lot better maintained, but apart from that, a lovely experience, great coffee and tasty snacks.

Oh Right, forgot to rate "granny's appletart". granny is not very generous with her apples in this one. I suggest taking a different pastry.
So I changed my mind and decided to give it 4 stars. Still good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first place in Ghent I’ve encountered that serves a genuinely good cup of coffee, and I’ve been here for a week. Simplistic yet enjoyable interior design coupled with its location on the Leile gives this place a cozy atmosphere. If you, like myself, are dissatisfied with the weak, americano style machine coffee most cafés in Ghent serve, I strongly recommend you pay this place a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing place! Great coffee and tasty brunch. Quality food for good prices! Two tables have view of the river and the bridge. It’s a very cost place to study while it’s raining. My only recommendation is to install additional power outlets for people with laptops.
