★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This bust stands in tribute to Albert I, the King of the Belgians from 1909 to 1934, during an eventful period for Belgium, which included the turbulence of the First World War. Something alluded to as the bust features the king wearing his characteristic Adrian helmet. Not a must see in Tournai, fine if you have time in the city. A monument to his consort, Elisabeth is close by.
