About Brasserie Grand Bazaar
Centraal gelegen tussen Schoten, Merksem en Brasschaat bevindt zich de eeuwenoude hoeve voormalig gekend als 'Ten Weyngaert'.
Begin 2017 namen de broers Mattheeussen samen met de jongere generatie de zaak over en gaven het gebouw een gerespecteerde make-over. Zo bouwden ze een stijlvolle glazen tuinkamer aan en breidde uit met een oergezellig zuiderterras. Dit alles werd waargemaakt zonder de authenticiteit van het gebouw te verwaarlozen.
Bij Grand Bazaar kan zowel jong en oud terecht voor een snelle lunch, een traditionele wafel of een uitgebreide 'steppegras' schotel. Onze gevarieerde kaart voorziet voor ieder wat wils.

β β β β β The place is great and service was nice but it's always a hit or a miss. Went there 4 times and two out of four were bad experiences. The first time the main course was lovely and presented beautifully and everything came very quickly, the second time we had to wait 2 hours and the food was bland. It wasn't busy at all so I didn't get it. The last time we went it was very busy but because of the hot weather we wanted to sit inside and it was like the staff forgot the customers inside, being busy outside. Now, I get that they if there is a lot of costumers and not enough staff you have to wait longer, but still... the only 3 tables inside had to wait so long! Although its a lovely place and the food presented nicely some dishes are sooo tasteful and the other are bland... Because of these extremes I don't really wanna go anymore, there is no consistencie that you can rely on everytime you go.

β β β β β Very welcoming, excellent food. I prefer to sit outside but it was cold & wet on the afternoon of our last visit for lunch. My wife had the steak, perfectly medium rare & I had tbe tasty prawn stir fry. Get's busy here so best book ahead.

β β β β β I was unpleasantly suprised with the food prices. It seemed like I was in a nice place in the center of Amsterdam, not a place in the middle of mega stores disctrict outside the city.
I ordered croque monsieur but I got a regulat toast with ham and cheese.
I would give 1 star but the terrasse was very nice.
