★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for more of an upscale lunch! This was the first resto I visited in Belgium and it certainly set the bar quite high for the food I would eat for the rest of my trip. The croquettes were quite tasty as an appetizer (as they should be as a simple and easy dish). As someone who likes their steak well done, I was thoroughly impressed with the Americane Fillet which was served with an exquisite tartar sauce. Although it was hardly cooked, I think this dish has inspired me to become a bit more adventurous with my meat styles. If a dish can change your preferences, you KNOW it’s a great dish!
The service was quite good here too, however the host did give my cousin a bit hard time upon entry with his Covid pass. I know this was just him following the regional rules he’s been given, but we thought he could have handled it in a more sophisticated manner.
