★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a consulate...full with people who are paid to work or to sleep as they please. No supervision. No management by KPI. What can you expect?
It is like any other Italian pubblic office. Very inefficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3 appointments to register a baby: the officer didn’t explain us all the documents they needed the first time we went! And on the website there are no info on which documents you need for the particular case of not married people. Just consider that people take permission or holidays to go to do this burocratic stuff!
The officer eventually admitted her error but she apologised saying that it is an hard job working from 9 to 17... to us who are working from 8 to 18!!! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good organization in times of covid-19. Need appointment in advance, in my case it was a 3 month waiting, but once you are there, things are done fast as long as you prepare all required documentation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an absolutely horrible experience with the consulate in Antwerp and with the Embassy in Brussels though email while trying to set up an appointment to renew my passport and apply for my daughters. Took me over a year and a half to get in due to incorrect information and just not responding. When I finally got in, the people that actually worked the counter were so so helpful and friendly. It was really a night and day difference, I was so apprehensive but am so pleased with he way it turned out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After seeing previous reviews I don't know what to think about my experience. I needed to get a document at the Ufficio Sociale. I made a request by email, got a reply within 2 hours, and my document was ready in less than 48 hours. Staff was super polite and friendly too.
