★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly impactful place demonstrating the power, even today, of the young men and women that gave their lives then for our tomorrow's, to paraphrase one epitaph. Another wrote (paraphrasing):
To the world, he was a man;
To us, he was our world.
(From his wife, mother and father).
My uncle lies in this cemetery, having died just 30 miles from the home of his mother and father.
I am so very grateful to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for the efforts to preserve and continue to commemorate those that gave their all so that we may live our lives in relative peace.
