Free, car parks and explanations all around the site! In addition to being really clean, the headlands provide a great view of the site!

Pretty OK, quiet even in high season with the necessary information boards. Is nicely maintained and there is no entrance fee. Nice to visit if you're in the area, but not especially for avoiding.

Visiting the Gallo-Roman villa is an activity that many will enjoy. The staff are welcoming and the activities diversified.
A visit and history for the older ones, but also more fun activities such as archeology, pottery and a cooking workshop that will appeal to both adults and children.
I was there as a scout leader, and the troop had a great time. As well as myself. The site is very nice and pleasant, it is a pleasure to go have a good time discovering the life of other times.
I still take 1 star because the visit and the historical part was really long with too little interaction, which means that we tend, if we are not really passionate, to drop out. For the rest on top!

A beautiful site in the process of being released. Although the visit is free, the explanations given by panels are clear.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gallo-roman Villa of Mageroy was in use from the middle of the 1st century until the 4th century. It was built in a swampy cavity, near a water stream, which required solid foundations and a considerable amount of work for the leveling of the land. The villa is divided into two parts: the pars urbana includes the main building as well as a residential courtyard; the pars rustica (agricultural courtyard) is made up of four annex buildings, a large basin and three lime kilns. This property was surrounded by a wall forming a rectangle nearly 200 m long and about 145 m wide, which covered an area of 3 ha. Germanic raids at the end of the 3rd century did not spare Mageroy: its hid a treasure of 105 silver antonioani found in the cellar. The villa was burnt down after 262 AD and abandoned. The Villa and excavations are open to visits all the time. TIMETRAVELROME.
