★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting garden with statuary. We were told that they represent the Horseman Of The Apocalypse whish seems to be what the garden's name suggests.
Interesting but I wouldn't say that I particularly like the style but I guess Beatty is in the eye of the beholder. My other half wasn't sold on it either!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A quiet location except for the sound of horse hoofs as one horse and carriage after another takes sightseers on their journey around the famous significant sites. A fitting place to have the artistically fabricated 4 horsemen astride their mounts. Check chapter 6 of the last book of the Bible and try to identify which rider is which. Then find someone who can explain the meaning of this amazing Bible account. It will make a visit to this little park very rewarding.
You can exit the area via the smallest bridge in Brugge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located in the Arentshof (garden) is an interesting arrangement of bronze sculptures called The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, the works of Belgian sculptor Rik Poot (1981-87). These are really nice to see, particularly with blue skies in the background.
Here you can enjoy four contemporary figures of the biblical figures, composed of wrapped layers of bronze, creating interesting abstract collection of sculptures. You can view them before, after or in between visits to the nearby Arentshuis and Groeninge Museums.
