Alleen al omwille van het interieur is restaurant Verona aan de Oude Koornmarkt in hartje Antwerpen een bezoek meer dan waard.
De Bekende interieurspecialist Axel Vervoort drukte er zijn stempel op.
Blikvanger is de monumentale achtiende-eeuwse trap in het midden van de trendy zaak.
Maar hoofdzaak blijft natuurlijk de lekkere kaart met een ruime waaier aan Italiaanse specialiteiten.
Gasten kunnen plaatsnemen op de gelijkvloerse verdieping. Die heeft bistro-allures
Houten tafeltjes en stoelen en rood lederen zitbanken tegen de muur creëren een gezellige sfeer
Op de eerste verdieping is het wat intiemer tafelen.
Foto's van filmsterren uit lang vervlogen tijden zorgen voor een appart accent.
Bij zomerse weersomstandigheden is het ook heerlijk tafelen op het terras aan de straatkant.

β β β β β The staff was really rude and we got food poisoning after our pasta. We all got very sick after our visit. The waiting was very long and we paid to much and didn't got our money back. Please don't go here!!!!!!!!!

β β β β β The place is conveniently located in a busy street next to the town hall, with the bonus point of having the tables at the lower floor facing the cathedral's front (meaning, lovely views).
The place is big, which makes it perfect to host big groups. However the waiters are always busy and tend to lose their manners easily, which franckly, its a shame.
The pizzas are quite good, flavourful, plenty of topings and they offer a number of combinations to please both those who prefer the classic ones and those who want something differet.
Order : salmon or four cheese pizza
Avoid : house wine

β β β β β Beautiful place in city centre. Variety of drinks n food. We had our dinner there with plenty of drinks. Delicious food, super cool drinks, great atmosphere n nice table service made it more valuable. Best is having a night view of city centre from outside seating. Recommend it

β β β β β I liked the place, really nice ambient and staff but I have to say that pizza is quite bad. Italian restaurant should do better. I'm not sure what was the problem but I think it is in a doe. It was not salty enough and dry. Also felt like the one you buy in the supermarket. Really sorry.

β β β β β We didnβt have to wait long although it was busy. The staff was really friendly and our servant made a lot of jokes. The staff keeps distance and the service is good, even during the coronavirus. At the start we got a bag with breads and butter. This was a bit weird and the breads were hard.
Overall, very good restaurant! We would definitely recommend to eat at this place in Antwerp.
