Linus Pauling introduceerde de term “orthomoleculair” als biochemische basis van vitaminebehandelingen in de psychiatrie.
Door de jaren heen ontstond de orthomoleculaire geneeskunde (“Orthos”: juist, recht of gezond en “moleculair”: moleculen), gebaseerd op de klassieke biochemie.
Als orthomoleculair arts streven we ernaar om de juiste stoffen in optimale hoeveelheden in ons lichaam aanwezig te hebben om optimaal te kunnen functioneren.
