★ ★ ★ ★ ★ According to her LinkedIn profile, Ms Ybe Casteleyn is neither a psychiatrist nor a psychologist. In fact, she does not seem to hold any university degree in a medical or psychological subject matter. Also, in Belgium, the job title 'therapist' / 'traumatherapist' is not protected by law : anybody is allowed to use it. Anecdotal publications and membership, even in a leading capacity, of a national or international society of fellow 'therapists', does not compensate for the lack of a relevant academic degree. Trauma is very complex subject matter. It takes a lot of expertise to properly diagnose, let alone soothe, its impact on someone's personality and, indeed, life. I made the mistake of trusting Ms Casteleyn. It ended badly. I recommend not to spend money on her services and obtain the help of a psychiatrist or specialized psychologist instead.
