★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK - maybe previous reviewers have not experienced waffles at other waffle cafes in Antwerpen. This waffle was no better than the waffle cart at Central Station - greasy, not crispy on the outside and raw dough on the inside. Took one bite and tossed in the trash. If you want a real Belgium waffle - crispy on the outside, airy on the inside and not oily, then go down the street to Desire de Lille! ! !

This is my favorite waffleshop in the world (of the 35 countries I have been to so far). Before I got here I had tried all the fancy and touristy waffles with whipped cream and berries, chocolate or both. When I got to the smallest waffle shop I asked the guy what he would recommend I order. He said plain. Well I thought why not and bought a single waffle with it's classic sugar coating and it was perfect. I loved it so much I bought another and even went back another day. In the world of Instafacetok, I can see how the other places become so popular. For quality and simply delicious waffles, come here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place where we tried our first Belgian waffles. Unfortunately the choice was poor: either naked waffle for €2.50, or you get Nutella/crème topping for + €1. Should have chosen the naked waffle. It was soooo tasty! Still warm, right off the oven, delicious, soft, crispy. I wish they offered strawberries, too.
