★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1 word: AMAZING! The food is finger licking good and the homemade ice tea is delicious. The prices are perfect and the staff is super friendly. When you're in Leuven 'Het Strand' is definitely worth a visit if you love great food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent selection of beer. Sitting outside on a summer evening is pleasant (picture of the view below), the inside looks kind of cheap and unfinished, though. Fingerfood: I only tried the bread with spread, which was not bad. The desserts did not look good. I would go back only if sitting outside was an option.
UPDATE: I am going to raise my rating of this place, as upon a second and third visit I noticed some nice improvements in the interior and most of all, the food (all vegetarian and vegan) is well prepared and presented (I am not vegetarian and I still enjoyed it). Beer and cocktail selection is nice, too. One request though: I know the menu changes often, so it is not viable to print copies every day, but going to the blackboards to check what is available is a mood breaker for many. Why not implement a QR code to scan at the table, directing to a web version of the menu?
