E	Emma Arnesdotter on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very stylish restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The menu is interesting but one could wish for slightly larger portions. Also, several members of our seven-person party said their food could have been served warmer. After having both starter and main course I was happy that the bread basket was filled with very tasty breads so I could get full on that. Others in our company ordered extra fries because the portion size was not satisfactory. However, dessert was huge so that sorted it out. Service was ok, but could be improved to give that nice feeling of having someone looking after you and making sure all is well during your evening. Huge plus for making a vegan menu available on request!

Kudos to the chefs for putting together a Belgian menu with a modern twist, not sure you can get the same quality and vision from other restaurants in Brussels. Highly recommended.
P	Pao Rosario on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice déco in a spacious restaurant where you can easily enjoy during COVID time as tables are perfectly distanced. Personal very friendly and protected. Food was a freshy experience with lots of tasty flavours and very creative. Definetly to come back. Very affordable prices taking into account quality price. I couldn't take a picture but if you like a beef try it in there was perfectly juicy.

As an example the tartar steak was not tender, the rhubarb pie was basically chunks of rhubarb on a this tasteless sheet of crust, the dish did not make any sense. The dessert dish looked unfinished, probably because we took the evening menu. All in all, very expensive prices for what you get. If they had put as much effort in the quality of the food and service as in the appearances it would be an exelcellent place

It has a very cool rooftop where you can enjoy the view, the chill atmosphere and very good drink with delicious cocktails ❤ very recommended. A bit pricy but totally worth it and I love the service !

The location itself is just right in The Sofitel Brussels Europe, at the Jourdan Square. Lovely atmosphere. Services provided since the arrival, during the meals until the departure has been seamless and efficient. Mr Deniau and his team have been kindly looking after us attentively, good story telling along the dining journey, as well the suggestions on the menus. Croquettes aux crevettes are just one of the ever I have ever tasted. Good value of money, and highly recommended.

We're just very happy the 1040 is back in full force after all the lockdowns and restrictions. Even then, when they could operate, it was such a treat for us not only to dine out but also to enjoy such thoughtful fine dining with Belgian flair. This is definitely one of my top choices for special occasions or hosting visitors.
