 Definitely worth the walk or bike ride because of the beautiful surroundings and the 360 degree views.

Wow what a view and a blissful climb after upstairs. I can enjoy this for hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer mooi en apart stukje Vlaanderen. Een best aardige klim naar boven over een uniek stuk natuurgebied. Door de ondergrond steenkool, warmt deze snel op en er ontstaat hierdoor een apart bodem klimaat. Bovenop een prachtig weids uitzicht. Absoluut de moeite waard.
Very nice and special piece of Flanders. A pretty nice climb up a unique piece of nature. Because of the coal surface, it heats up quickly and creates a separate soil climate. On top of a beautiful wide view. Absolutely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place, there is parking for cars and bike, dog park on the entrance. but dog and bike are not allowed on the Top. I love the mix of nature landscapes you can find here. Some light forresty areas, many small ponds and the typical local 'heide' bushes. There are a few big hills with magnificent panoramic views. The hiking tracks are very well indicated and range from a few kilometers no dog allowed in the terril . There're possibilities to link more than one track because they intersect at certain places.
