★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food, the decor, the service, the beer (oh, the beer!); if you don't have a wonderful time here I'm not sure how to explain it. Perhaps it's because you're aren't drinking Moinette like a sensible person (or perhaps you're not drinking enough!). We speak hardly a link of French, but it wasn't an issue at all for the incredibly gracious proprietor, who also accommodated my wife's food allergy without blinking.
Truly an excellent experience, and a visit to Leuze, Aubechies, or Ath (and the local sites; don't miss Dupont) is well rounded by a lunch, dinner, or beer at the Taverne. Don't miss it!
