★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hier moet je komen als je je graag slecht behandeld voelt. De huisbazin was erg kortaf, zei geen goeiedag, alsjeblieft of dankuwel, en keek ons vies aan. Alles wat ze zei klonk als een bevel. We waren op voorhand gewaarschuwd dat ze niet vriendelijk was maar ze heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen...
 This is where you should come if you like to feel badly treated. The landlady was very curt, didn't say hello, please or thank you, and gave us a dirty look. Everything she said sounded like an order. We had been forewarned that she was not friendly but she exceeded our expectations ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walen worden vriendelijk bediend, Vlamingen mogen de tafel zelf dekken. Nog nooit zo onvriendelijk behandeld geweest door de “gastvrouw”. Corona-masker werd niet opgezet.
Walloons are served in a friendly manner, Flemings are allowed to set the table themselves. Never been treated so unkindly by the "hostess". Corona mask was not put on.

Je m’attendais à boire un petit verre sympa entre amis, mais l’antipathie exacerbée de la barmaid a remis toutes mes entreprises en question. Je recommanderais ce bar à toute personne souhaitant se sentir misérable et mal aimé.
Unpleasant service as possible.
I expected to have a nice drink with friends, but the barmaid's heightened antipathy called all my businesses into question. I would recommend this bar to anyone who wants to feel miserable and unloved.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Franchement, je n’ai jamais vu une serveuse aussi désagréable. Et je pèse mes mots… nous sommes en terrasse pour boire un verre tranquillement entre amis. La dame répond d’un air dédaigneux à nos questions, nous jette limite la monnaie en retour. Et comble de tout, mon coca est presque plat. A part si vous êtes sur le point de mourir de soif, je vous déconseille fortement.
Frankly, I have never seen such a rude waitress. And I weigh my words… we are on the terrace for a quiet drink with friends. The lady responds dismissively to our questions, throws us limit change in return. And best of all, my coke is almost flat. Unless you are about to die of thirst, I strongly advise against you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eten was matig, lang moeten wachten. De vrouw was zeer onvriendelijk, op geen enkele manier werd in de taverne rekening gehouden met enige corona regels.
Food was average, long wait. The woman was very unfriendly, in no way was any corona rules taken into account in the tavern.

De plus la Taverne étant ambassadrice de l Orval depuis des années, je ne pouvais que me laisser tenter.
Je recommande sans hésitation.
