Beautiful and main train station in Gent. There is a bus and tram terminal close by where transport is available throughout the city.

Interesting station, nice. Impressed by the very, very large number of bicycles in the square in front of the station. The photo will not give you the full amount. There are probably tens of thousands of them. Probably people come to Ghent, go to work by bike, then leave them in front of the station to use the next day.

A comfortable and beautiful place. The station building was built in 1912, you can see that in some places the restorers have preserved its original appearance. At the moment it is Gent-Sint-Peters station - the most important in the city of Ghent and the third busiest station in Belgium, after the Brussels stations South, Central and North Station has twelve tracks and six platforms. There is a charger for phones, waiting areas, an information board, in winter the station falls off. Of the minuses, everywhere in all guidebooks and on stickers it is indicated that there is free Wi-Fi, but this is not true. How many times was and it was never there, had to be content with a mobile or Starbucks.

It ’s like a central station in Ghent. It was opened in 1912, and the interior is beautifully decorated. A part of it is currently being renewed. Ghent sightseeing starts here. A tram in front of the station will take you to the downtown and historic districts, but it is less than 30 minutes on foot. The tram 60-minute ticket has risen to 3 euros. (On the first Sunday of the month, the tram seems to be free. Please check with the locals to get on just in case.) Everyone, Ganbata!

This station was built on the occasion of the 1913 World's Fair. The author was Louis Cloquet. It is the most important in the country outside of Brussels. Its plan design is interesting. It is crossed by a tunnel that connects the transversal platforms. It had sitting rooms for second and third class, as was the style at that time. Its style is eclectic and its decoration at times gives you the feeling of being in a Byzantine or Arab palace. To stop to observe.

It's a train station! Nothing special. Oh wait the historical events are special. But that's it.

This is a simple basic train station. Does its purpose. For your information taxis are located left and down the steps or ramp. There are no signs showing this which is absurd.
