We had a wonderfully ‘slow’ time in the Slow cabin!

early wake up call.. it’s still dark outside quick breakfast.. i need to leave before traffic hits work hard.. i don’t want to get home late can i make it to the store for groceries.. let’s see what traffic says quick dinner.. because we’re always in a rush and got stuff to do exhausted.. time for slowcabins I slow down.. I enjoy every minute and all the small things.. I’m alive and energized! ??? yes. we love this. we need this. we do this. slow down, breathe, enjoy. t+s

This was a very nice getaway with my girlfriend, if you love nature, it is the perfect spot.

This is a brilliant experience for those who like peace and want to connect better with the loved ones . The quality , the place is so perfect to relax .

As we are 2 busy people, we were looking for an "escape" from daily life, located in Belgium. We didn't want the regular busy hotel or tailored B&B, we just wanted to be on our on, which is 100% what SLOW Cabins stands for. We loved to concept: simplicity, ecological, back to nature, slow down... We instantly made a reservation for 2 night (which is the minimum you can book, but certainly necessary to let go) in a cabin for 2 persons (you also have cabins for multiple people), which was easy to book. During your booking they don't tell you where you will end up, until 1 week before departure. What's also fun is the fact that at arrival you will leave your car behind on a parking spot and find your way by chart to the cabin. (hiking shoes recommended) So you don't know in which cabin you will stay, but they are always located within a 2hour drive between the major cities (Antwerp, Brussels, Ghent) At arrival on the parking spot, we still needed to walk 10 min. 'till the cabin. The cabin itself is located in a plain field surrounded by trees. ( a plus here for the kids is that you are surrounded by "highlanders" (cattle)) The cabin itself is equipped with all utilities, in an ecologically responsible way. We are talking about solar panels with battery cell for energy, biological toilet, eco shower, equipped kitchen, sitting area, full double bed and wood stove. We enjoyed every evening outside in the two lounge seats by the campfire, which also serves a purpose as a BBQ (steel grill and wood are provided) The cabin is also equipped with documentation of the area, so you can go for nice walks, bike rides or visit the local village. Personally, we have not left from our slow cabin very much, as we have taken the time to relax, to be together and this with a glass, some food and a good book! We highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely book with SLOW CABINS again!! PS: a plus is the phone box for the smartphone, it helps to completely shut you off from all the hustle.
