Kroatië: veel mensen hebben er van gehoord, sommigen zijn er geweest en wij komen er vandaan. Met veel liefde delen we met jullie het eten waarmee wij zijn grootgebracht. Soms in een modern jasje maar minstens met een knipoog naar vroeger.
Restaurant Zagreb wordt uitgebaat door Vincent Banić (Ter Groene Poorte) & Mate Banić, vader en zoon. Samen met hun team brengen ze traditionele Kroatische gerechten met als basis telkens een herinnering of een recept van thuis. Zowel in de keuken als in de zaal zijn gemotiveerde mensen terug te vinden met een liefde voor Kroatië die vol passie lekker eten serveren, denk maar aan Darko, welbekend bij onze regulars. De pure mediterraanse keuken staat centraal, onze gerechten zijn voornamelijk halal, gluten- en lactosevrij en onze specialiteiten zijn vis en vlees op de houtskoolgrill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was probably good, service was friendly but on the slow side, and the prices were average for the part of Antwerp it's in. The atmosphere is quite nice, or rather, might have been. They allow patrons to use those nasty-smelling e-cigarettes inside of the building (not vaping, but the other kind). Since the tables are so close together, my food tasted like nothing but the bitter flavor of the guys' next to me e-cigarettes. It was clear the management of the restaurant approves of this, as the staff were coming over regularly to the tables where people were doing this. So, if you like that, this is probably a great place for you. If you like tasting your food, less so.
