Geweldige ervaring!

Wat een topervaring!!! Fijne ontvangst, professionele uitleg, ondersteuning op niveau over heel de lijn. Wij hebben een topdag beleefd en komen zeker terug. Bedankt Luc en Stefan, het was absoluut geweldig!

Took on the dec 8, 2018 Track Day @ Zolder a race-car driving introduction for the 25th birthday of my youngest dauhter. The car planned was a BMW 325 clubsport @ 230 HP as per picture. The actual car was OK but black... a little less sexy. Preliminary email exchange of information with boss Stefaan Schoonjans lacked a bit responsiveness as to practical details like for example the meeting point (actually box 36 in the pits). The session itself was given on mostly wet track, cold windy weather but no rain, by very exprienced and friendly pilot-instructor Luc Janssens. The package we agreed upon was including 1h30 minutes on track. They started at around 9 with my daughter on the steering wheel after a minimal "in car" briefing. She did spin a couple of times in her first session of 30 minutes... luckily with no harm, as the track was not yet too crowded at this time. After taking a little break, my daughter asked Luc to take the steering wheel to show her for a couple of laps how he does. This was apparently useful as the next session she was doing a better job. Unfortunately, the track became more and more crowded and she (and Luc) had more to do watching for the other cars than really improving her driving. At the other end of the circuit she ended up skidding in the gravel, car stalled on its chassis (and no tow hook on it). Red flag, all cars to return to the pits for the tow truck to tow them out of the gravel by the rim. This all took some time while I stressed a lot not knowing if they were safe or not. After this scary moment and considering the crowded track, my daughter did not feel like to go for another session (we were still having 25 minutes time left). Her boyfriend took her place and he spinned at high speed after only 1 lap. The instructor then dedided to stop the session based upon unsafe driving. Fair enough. All in all a positiv experience. The minus points being: slow and incomplete response to emails, no formal acknowledgement of time slot and car reservation, car look, minimal briefing, no intercom in car and crowded track (not something QSR-Racing can do about but a real problem for beginners). Thanks to QSR-Racing and specially to Luc for his patience and friendliness.
