Nice location. Friendly staff. Good food. But expensive. Too expensive for what is being offered.

Great venue and atmosphere. Not so easy to get in. Food is fine. Food - 6/10 - twice I have been there we ordered menu option. Great variety. But tastes are quite simple vs the complexity and expectation from the way it looks. Additionally all of the elements of the menu were quite heavy for my taste. Drinks - 8/10 - good selection. Cocktails are good too. Service - 6/10 - my first experience was just great, Staff is nice and welcome. 2nd I had to wait for 1 hour to be sited at the table and you cannot book it. For me personally this is not ideal option. So if you want to travel from another city to this restaurant for special occasion or with colleagues you cannot be certain to get place. Additionally, 2nd time we were there food was brought (about 10 items) without explaining what is what (as well as on the menu it is not explained) Atmosphere - 9/10 - it is really great. The opened roof in the main hall is an amazing touch. Loved the design too. Value for money - 5/10 - I believe it is too expensive for what it offers mainly because of food and service as I described above.

One of the best restaurants in Mechelen. Excellent design interior, perfect atmosphere, delicious food, fair prices and friendly service. If you’re ever in or near the city of Mechelen you should definitely stop by PINTXOS!

Looks great feels great, food was nice but the choice for me was very limited in term of tapas. Service was friendly but very very busy. Overall an ok experience but not enough choice.

As noted in other post, the place looks great, decoration is nice, and atmosphere seems to make the place worth, but it’s only a facade, therefore one star, the rest is worthless. The staff is rude, starting from the impolite manager who has never learnt that “customer is king”. When you treat your customers as disposable trash, then the place is not worth staying. We expected better when we entered the venue. We had waited for one hour for them to open. We greeted the staff, who didn’t bother to respond, we were looking for the bathroom and went to the back of the restaurant, and open the kitchen’s door by mistake, as the bathroom was on the second floor, not signaled. The manager attacked us verbally, big scandal, as if we were thieves. He screamed at us like a mad man, insulted us and of course, after such a treatment we were not going to stay. When a restaurant treats customers like this, it is not worth even trying. I would only go back there to put a formal written complaint about the nagging manager and the rude staff. When things escalated to the point of absolute disrespect, the guy started screaming in some Gibberish language that was not understandable. Definitely not worth stopping here, there are many more humble and more posh places in Mechelen where they do know how to treat their customers. Food prices are high, which is strange as the low quality of the staff should translate in cheap prices as well. Definitely the opposite of a true Basque punticos place where hospitality and respect for the customer are on top of the quality of the food.

We visited Pintxos only once. Our fellow visitors visited it before. We had a lovely experience. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and well prepared. The sweet chilly chicken is really hot, so be careful. We will return for another southern experience. Recommended! If you believe this review is useful, then please 'like' it.
