On this beautiful square we went to a nice performance by the Ghent group Hermitage. It must have been during the annual neighborhood parties.

I think this is a beautiful church, unfortunately it was for today to say goodbye to someone

You can visit this church during the day. There are movable ramps for wheelchair users. You will find many beautiful carvings in this church. Unfortunately during our visit a little few lights were on. The stained-glass windows alone are worth a visit. They are very beautiful in terms of theme and colors.

A beautiful legend tells that Amandus came to Sint-Amandsberg every Friday to preach the faith on the hill (the present Campo Santo). The faithful planted a cross there, the very beginning of a place of worship that will develop much later into the current parish of St. Amandus. On April 23, 1846, Bishop Louis Joseph Delebecque laid the foundation stone of the future parish church. The parish of Sint-Amandsberg was not founded until 1847. (...)
