★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've been a fan of Samarjit and Tanima since they started cooking as students in Leuven. Though we don't live in Leuven anymore, we keep coming back for their food and their hospitality. First in Hal 5 and now - after a long break due to renovations and a pandemic- we finally got to check out their restaurant. My god, how I missed them! The food is amazing and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. I love the fact that they stayed true to their concept of the thali inspired by the vegetables that are in season. Yes, it's true that you don't get a long menu with dozens of standard dishes from which you can choose (and which you can find in any restaurant) as some people complain about. But it's more than just food, it's a story on a plate. They talk about their dishes with such passion, that you would instantly start drooling. I started this review by saying we've been a fan for years, and I'll end by saying we'll keep coming back for many more years. It's no secret we're hoping they'll also open a restaurant near our home, so we can go more often :-) Keep up the good work, guys!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were three menus we could choose from, we had the meat and fish menu. The food was really good as the service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like Indian food.
Personally I like that you had three menus where you can choose from, this makes it easier to give high quality food for the chef and you discover new things to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Family lunch in Leuven. Four of us chose the meat and fish menu ‘Amish Tali’. It was quite tasty and had well balanced flavours. The cocktail was good but not great. The mango lassi drink was excellent though. The waiters were friendly and only spoke English and probably Indian dialects. The smell of incense irritated a person in or party of five. I can understand this will certainly not be a problem for everybody. So overall a good/ good plus, but not a great experience.
