Nederlandse Academie

Je recommande chaleureusement l’académie et la méthode! J’avais besoin de me remettre à niveau pour le travail et cette semaine à définitivement été un excellent investissement. Et Clarck, le prof, est un sacré personnage qui rend l’apprentissage ludique. Avec lui, il n’y a pas de demi-mesure, et c’est donc le débat assuré. Et puisqu’on est là pour parler, pratiquer, et babelen, c’est parfait. Et l’air de rien, Clarck vous corrige, vous aide à améliorer la grammaire, et vous apprend des tonnes d’expression et de vocabulaire. C’est bluffant!

1re expérience pour moi à la NEDACA avec l'impressionnant professeur Clark!!! Après être passée par plusieurs états (peur, stress,abandon) avant de commencer les cours, Clark m'a mis directement en confiance dès le 1er jour (malgré les textes à préparer qui mettaient mon moral en baisse chaque après-midi ?), chaque matin, mon moral était de nouveau à la hausse!!! Merci Clark, ces 5 jours intensifs étaient moeilijk maar aangenaam !!!

Cours intensif de 2 semaines . Satisfait par l’accueil et mon évolution , Clark le professeur a une manière assez ludique et très intéressant de donner cours. Je recommande vivement le forcing comme méthode d’apprentissage. Mal à l’aise au début et plutôt dans le bain à la fin

Old fashioned, boring lessons by second rate teachers. Lerian is a much better school.

The intensive course is really a great bang for the buck! Strap in for a deep dive in the Dutch language with fun but also discipline and method. The so-called Forcing is a method to practice in crescendo listening, writing and talking, using synonyms. The Forcings are interspersed with practical dips in grammar. Homework is usually reading a short news article and in the morning, provide a summary or analysis. All in Dutch of course, also the animated chats over lunch or the ‘animatie’ from 3-5pm. Immersion is key :-) if you’re serious and engaged, you’ll come out with much better Dutch than you came in while enjoying it. I certainly did.

I posted a review earlier and I was requested to remove it by the company mentioned here, but I'm posting it again because I think reviews are important Part I I have registered with Nederlandse Academie for a 5 classes course on Saturday. The class was not on par with what the course description on their website shows. So after finishing the first class I emailed them that I wish to cancel my enrollment and pay for the first class and material and requested a refund. After 2 days of no response, I follow up only to receive that they don't refund and that I have to be specific with what my expectations are! This is not the first language course I take, I have taken one at Atlas and online with a private tutor. After explaining that to them, they literally responded: The other students are quite happy with the course perhaps I need to go to a lower level... At this point, I decided to contact the academy directly and speak to the manager, who was very rude and I was quite frustrated by how adamant she was on not acknowledging if a customer is not happy with the service they should not be forced to continue with it. She literally hung up the phone on me. Part II A staff member later reached out to continue to affirm their no refund policy and that they're willing to change the class for me (not starting from scratch since for them the first class I took is already deducted!) I only agreed because I felt at this point that I am not getting my refund. They made a condition that I must delete my review (Part I) in order to have access to the class, which I agreed to (but reinstated after my second experience with them. They assigned me to a new class that was not at all my level and the supporting language for it was French, when I clearly stated I need English as the secondary language. All I got afterward was an email after email from them asking for a review about their class, So I'm posting my review here: It is not worth the money, they have no experience in customer service and the fact they have a no-refund policy is not an excuse. Most importantly, when I expressed my frustration about them in expat groups, I heard a number of unsatisfied customers as well, but they didn't think they would write a review about the academy. P.S. they have removed the Reviews tab from their Facebook page after they asked me to delete my review. What does that say about an establishment?

Thanks to Clark I finally feel I lost my shyness in speaking the language. His method is so efficient thanks to his ability to communicate and his passion towards his job. I highly recommend this school and especially Clark. His method is valuable and professional, also very interesting topics and impressive way to explain concepts in a figurative manner is effectively clear and easy to remember. I m also happy to have met him because is an interesting person to listen, with his stories about travelling, theatre and film. It's definitely worth the time and money invested.
