★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ik was hier na de eerste lockdown, samen met mijn grootmoeder. We werden echt niet vriendelijk bediend. Bij ons vertrek herpakte de man zich maar de eerste indruk is negatief gebleven. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar..
 I was here after the first lockdown, along with my grandmother. We really weren't served kindly. When we left, the man recovered, but the first impression has remained negative. Not to be repeated..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer fijn winkeltje waar je chocolade en snoepjes kan kopen. Vlug binnen gesprongen om een zakje neusjes (cuberdons) te kopen en nog nooit zo onvriendelijk begroet geweest. De man trok een lang gezicht tot aan de grond en wou ons zo snel mogelijk buiten, een dank u wel en gegroet hebben we niet gekregen.
De neusjes waren wel lekker.
Very nice shop where you can buy chocolate and sweets. Quickly jumped in to buy a bag of noses (cuberdons) and had never been greeted so unfriendly. The man pulled a long face to the ground and wanted us out as quickly as possible, thank you and greetings we have not received.
The noses were nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Zeer mooie en nette winkel. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ruime keuze aan lekkere babelutten. Deze zijn vers en zeer lekker in tegenstelling tot sommige andere winkels die deze ook verkopen. Ook een zeer grote keuze ik vermoed de grootste in deze buurt. Ook veel ander lekker snoepgoed. Wij zijn al vele keren in Blankenberge in deze zaak geweest. En brengen deze steeds mee voor ons. En ook voor familieleden die daar om vragen. Of geven hun een pakje als geschenk.
Een winkel waar ze ons zeker nog terug mogen verwachten. Daar wij er zo tevreden over zijn.
Ze hebben ook zachte babelutten, die gemakkelijk zijn te eten met een kunstgebit. En niet echt aan je tanden blijven kleven. Deze zijn ook in de andere winkels niet te koop.
Very nice and neat store. Very friendly staff. Wide selection of tasty babelutten. These are fresh and very tasty, unlike some other stores that also sell them. Also a very large choice I suspect the largest in this neighborhood. Also many other tasty sweets. We have been to this place many times in Blankenberge. And always bring this for us. And also for family members who ask for it. Or give them a package as a gift.
A store where they can certainly expect us back. Since we are so satisfied with it.
They also have soft babelutten, which are easy to eat with dentures. And don't really stick to your teeth. These are also not for sale in the other stores.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A FUIR. S'il y avait un zéro je l'aurais sélectionné. Le vendeur au comptoir est particulièrement désagréable, jetant rageusement un ballotin vide sur le côté parce que la cliente a préféré un sachet. Ses commentaires à son encontre ne sont pas digne d'un bon vendeur; un minimum de politesse est requis.
Ce monsieur ne mérite pas d'avoir ce travail. Je suis sortie sans rien avoir acheté suite à son comportement avec cette cliente.
TO FLEE. If there was a zero I would have selected it. The salesperson at the counter is particularly rude, angrily throwing an empty box aside because the customer preferred a bag. His comments against him are not worthy of a good salesman; a minimum of politeness is required.
This gentleman does not deserve to have this job. I left without having bought anything as a result of his behavior with this client.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lesson in how to ruin the joy of buying chocolates!!
The man who served me was so incredibly rude - I've never seen anything like it in a shop before. No greeting or pleasantries. On the pretext that it was busy he tried to force me to buy one of their prepacked assortment boxes when I actually wanted to select the flavours I preferred. When he could see I was about to leave he relented begrudgingly so I hurriedly told him what I wanted, while his body language and brusque utterances spoke volumes. (I later noticed he'd ignored my selections and quantities!) And to top it all off, as I could speak Flemish I could tell he was making negative comment about me and also his next customer under his breath to his co-worker. Why oh why didn't I walk out at the start?!!
They obviously don't have to rely on repeat customers to stay in business otherwise there would be no way they'd get away with this type of behaviour.
The chocolates don't even taste that good despite their claim to being the best in Belgium. Or perhaps it's the sour taste the experience left in my mouth.
