A very nice hotel with the views of the city centre and next to the sea. You can walk to the beach which is like 100 mts frim the hotel, the staff was friendly and the service was good. The breakfast was also delicious, you get an option of American as well as regular stuff. There is also a rooftop open air pool if you feel like swimming. The rooms were nice and come.

Rude receptionist! We paying extra for facilities not exist, the pool is closed without saying anything in the website, they said the weather is not good, despite the weather is really nice sunny days! They should mention in booking details what facilities is available, no coffee maker no pool and no hospitality as well! **the pool was open untill 4 october, i came on 6 7 8 9 oct 2021 the dgree was above 18, sunny days. **

The hotel is located inside the train station at the center, they mentioned everywhere on social media that they offer a heated pool on roof, yet it was closed all the time of my stay and when i complained they said "we don't have a schedule for it", there was no one responsible that we could talk to. The manger was on holiday and the stuff can't make any decisions. Room floor was not clean and the balcony is not usable it exists only for a view that looks on a street. The most horrible experience was mainly communication with the stuff.

I enjoyed my stay at this Mercure. The location is ideal. The hotel is right next to the train station. It is about 10 minutes walk to the sea. The room was spacious and has everything you need. It was clean. Unfortunately, the furnishings are not up to date. The service was very professional and courteous. The internet was rather slow (5 Mbps). Streaming via the TV was unfortunately not possible. I would choose the hotel again. Especially in the summer. Then also the pool on the roof is open.

So myself and a colleague both got a room on the third floor (Mercure Blankerge Station - Belgium). Upon arriving on the third floor, ALL room doors where open, including our rooms. All furniture was stacked in the bathroom?? So we placed the furniture back in the room and I washed my hands. At that moment a very strong smell started to come from the bathrooms' plumbing. Due to time constraints, I informed the desk clerk who said she would go up and pour some product in the sink & shower. Arrived late that night only to find the smell got even worse; ran the water in the shower and sink to try to resolve the issue, but to no avail. Slept with window open due to the smell, but needless to say that being next to the station, the noise was hindering. Upon checking out; the new desk clerk was like "sorry, that room shouldn't be opened up to guests as we are renovating it"... well we in any case were put up there and that was truthfully a horrendous experience. I travel a lot over Europe, Middle East and Africa for work, and this has been the last time I've been in any Mercure hotel (note that Blankenberge Station is supposed to be 4-stars). Staff was friendly and helpful on check in. They helped with arranging Covid testing for my onward travel. They also helped with local transportation options, as the train was replaced by bus service over the weekend. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. Hotel is new and modern. Large windows let in plenty of light. I didn't have the breakfast. There is coffee and tea making in the room. I would stay here again if in the area.

Nice rooms and reasonable price (when you have a promotion offer) Breakfast is really good quality and very nice. The personnel is very friendly. The door to the balcony can't be opened to prevent smoking but this measure is also blocking an escape route in case of emergency. The rooms are very quiet as long as you keep the door closed. Parking is very expensive and not included, the city of Blankenberge is ugly as hell in my opinion.
