★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great waffles and pancakes. Traditional flemish place and well known amongst (grand)parents and the locals. Right across the playground so you can watch your kids while getting a drink or a snack. Gets really busy during the summer time and you will most likely have to wait 10-15 minutes to get outdoor seating, if not longer. Service is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place has existed for over 50 years but personnel is not able to serve inside and outside simultaneously. Just ordering at the bar is impossible for some reason, instead you have to order from a cabin outside served by one person and choose from a limited range of drinks or wait until one of the waiters finally finds his/her way to your table (which can take a very long time)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Set in a forested park, this pace offers a nice escape from the busy city environment. It's also adjacent to a nice playground which makes it very suitable for families with smaller children. The food it's no haute cuisine but more than decent for this type of brasserie.
Minus points: 1. The staff is slow which makes for longer than agreeable waiting times, both for ordering and for actually being served after having ordered. 2. On the terrace there are no comfortable chairs available for heavyset people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place with a good selection of Belgian food and beer choice. Great to come with children. There is a children's corner and outside heated seating. Easy access with the car, parking just across. Always a great relaxing area and you can spend hours there sipping a coffee or beer and enjoy the children playing in the sandbox. They open almost every day. You can walk in the park or bike. Beautiful during the spring time.
