As an animator in a coworking space, this device met our expectations, a little tinkering, editing and off we go for fun! Easy to use, easy to store in a cupboard, to make some t-shirts with friends it is simply perfect.

On frôle la perfection : dispo, aimable, décontracté du slip. Le rêve.
Et je ne parle même pas du petit chef-d'œuvre qu'est la CNC qu'on m'a livré. Les dimensions énormes, la puissance du moteur...
I would never have thought of taking the time to write an opinion about a product, an after-sales service... but this has to be known...
We're close to perfection: available, friendly, casual underpants. The dream.
And I'm not even talking about the small masterpiece that is the CNC that was delivered to me. The enormous dimensions, the power of the engine...

I backed this kickstarter last year because i'm a small guitar builder that makes custom guitars on demand. I don't have to room for a huge machine nor the finances ;) in this case the price of the machine was very interesting given what you get for it (very sturdy machine). The only "down side" to this is that you have to assemble the machine yourself. However, the instruction video featuring "Martin from Mekanika" is super detailed, all tools are included and the soundtrack is soothing while you are assembling.
the machine is modular meaning that you can let it evolve as your business evolves without having to buy a completely new machine. The software is open source so again you have a range of possibilities to expand (raspberry pi, Planet CNC,..).
I had some difficulties during assembly due to not paying attention but nonetheless they patiently helped me figure out what I did wrong. After assembly I had some more problems in resolving issues with tolerance and again they assisted my by mail and video call to get this issue sorted up to the point where the piece I was milling was within my tolerance requirements.
During the kickstarter campain, we learned how many parts were sourced locally which adds to the reduced carbon footprint of the machine.
If you are new to CNC, this is a great machine to learn it on because it's almost plug-and-play. Their website also features tons of information. Everything you need to know about CNC's (at least the basics) is covered in some article.
